Port Douglas Incentives Newsletter April 2016

Port Douglas and Daintree is currently experiencing beautiful revitalizing rains at night and clear blue skies during the day delighting visitors and locals alike! Please take a moment to catch up on the news from our slice of paradise. . . . . .

Colours of the world spice up your life at Flames of the Forest!

Who knew colour could potentially affect the outcome of your event? Colour is known to play an interesting role in our lives and research suggests colour influences our responses.

The colour yellow can inspire a happy mood, red is invigorating, green relaxes the body and alleviates stress, pink can reduce anger and anxiety and is highly appealing to women, blue is calming and purple promotes feelings of luxury and sophistication.

Orange is the leader though - as a combination of yellow (happy) and red (invigorating) everyone should have a good time!

We were pretty stoked to read this as generally speaking, our walk in colour is blue (calming) the dining light is a beautiful orange glow and the dessert light is a combination of pink and purple - awesome!

Wildlife Habitat introduces 2 New Wildlife Experiences

Crocarena will be the first of its kind in Queensland; a crocodile feeding show offering guests the opportunity to view the action from above, below and in the water with the crocodiles themselves. Crocarena will include two grandstands with seating for over 300 people, as well as an underwater viewing area below the grandstands where visitors can watch the feeding at eye-level with the crocodiles.

The showpiece of Crocarena will be the submersion experience, where guests can fully submerge themselves in a cage just metres from Babinda and Sheila, the resident estuarine crocodiles.

Another addition, Zipline Zoo Adventures, will consist of 7 exhilarating ziplines throughout the Wildlife Habitat property, including one 170 metres in length.

Construction for Crocarena and Zipline Zoo Adventures is scheduled to commence in April and is expected to be opened by July.
